Draft voter list published at more than 65 thousand polling stations in the state
Bhopal : Chief Electoral Officer MP Sanjeev Kumar Jha held a meeting with representatives of recognized national political parties at Nirvachan Sadan, Bhopal on Tuesday and informed about the publication of the draft voter list. On this occasion, Chief Electoral Officer MP Jha also provided a CD of the draft list to the political parties.
In the meeting, Joint Chief Electoral Officer Ram Pratap Singh Jadaun, Deputy Chief Electoral Officer Sanjay Kumar Srivastava, Surbhi Tiwari, Rajesh Yadav along with BJP’s Bhagwan Das Sabnani, Congress’s J.P. Dhanopia and Lalit Sen and AAP party’s C.P. Singh Chauhan was present.
Chief Electoral Officer MP Jha said that on the instructions of the Election Commission of India, the work of Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of voter list in the state had started from November 4. During this period, door-to-door verification of voters was done by BLOs. Calculation sheets were filled. Chief Electoral Officer Sanjeev Kumar Jha said that unprecedented participation of voters was seen in this work in the state.
He told that the claim objection process will run from 23 December 2025 to 22 January 2026. During this period, genuine voters can add their names or register objections.
Young voters can add their names
Chief Electoral Officer Jha said that young voters who are completing 18 years of age on January 1, 2026, can get their names added offline or online. Online Form-6 will have to be filled by visiting the website of Election Commission of India, Voters.eci.gov.in. Along with this, you can contact BLO for offline.
