Difficult to avoid this new weapon of Madhya Pradesh Police, on-the-spot testing at crime scene

Bhopal : Police investigation is going to become more sharp in serious cases with punishment of more than 7 years. Madhya Pradesh Police has now got a new Mobile Forensic Van (MFV). Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has flagged off 51 new mobile forensic vans at the Police Headquarters. These are being sent to major cities. The price of an FMV is around Rs 65 lakh. 14 testing kits will be present in this FMV. After flagging off the FMV, the Chief Minister, while addressing the DG IG conference in PHQ, has instructed all the senior police officers to go to the field and conduct surprise inspection.

Why is this MFV special?

After the implementation of the new law, it has become mandatory for the police to send forensic officers to the crime scene for crimes punishable with a punishment of more than 7 years and collect all the evidence related to the crime and investigate it on the spot. In many serious cases, the criminal gets the advantage due to the flexible forensic report. Because the samples seized by the police from the spot are not confirmed in the forensic report. But now this will not be possible.

This type of testing kit will be inside the forensic van.

Forensic experts will reach the spot in the new MFV and will themselves collect evidence from the spot. After this, it will be examined with the help of different kits present in the van. Madhya Pradesh is to get a total of 213 MFVs from the Central Government, out of which the police have received 51 MFVs in the first phase. Initially, one MFV has been given to each district. After this, 6 more MFVs will be given to big cities like Bhopal and Indore. This van will have kits like finger print, foot and tyre, light source UV kit, crime scene protection kit, blood and semen kit, sexual discharge collection, gun powder detection, narcotics, explosives, bullet hole testing.

Top officers should enter the field: CM

Along with this, while addressing the DG IG conference Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said, ”Police officers and employees should be cautious about their language and behavior. In the era of social media, apart from being a powerful means of information, it has also emerged as a serious challenge. Police should also share information about their achievements and positive activities. All senior police officers should be sent to the field and conduct surprise inspections.

The Chief Minister further said, “There is a need to take special initiatives to change people’s perception about the police and for better communication between the police and the public.” Police should disseminate information about its achievements and positive activities to the public. Police officers should be active for this. The image of the police should be helpful, our effort should be that people look at the police not with fear but with trust.

Naxalism should not arise again

addressing police officers The Chief Minister said, ,Development and public welfare activities in the areas affected by Naxalism should be conducted in such a way that Naxalism does not arise again. Senior police officers should immediately start activities like surprise inspection in the areas under their charge. Women’s safety is one of the main priorities of the government and police.
