Lakhs of devotees will reach these four big religious places of the country on New Year, know how they will be able to have darshan
New Delhi. On the occasion of New Year, huge crowd is going to gather in four big religious sites of the country. It is estimated that around 10 lakh devotees will reach these places on December 31 and January 1. In view of such a large number of devotees, the temple administration and the local administration have made special arrangements so that the darshan can take place safely and smoothly.
Vaikuntha Ekadashi festival is starting from December 30 in Tirupati temple of Andhra Pradesh, which will continue for 10 days. Meanwhile, there is also a New Year celebration, which is likely to attract a huge crowd of devotees. In view of this crowd, strict rules have been made here. From December 30 to January 1, only those devotees who have advance booking token will get darshan. The counters have been closed after issuing 1.89 lakh tokens for December 29 to 31. This step has been taken to prevent incidents like the stampede that happened last year.
Six lakh devotees are expected to visit Shirdi Saibaba Temple in Maharashtra on the occasion of New Year. In view of this, the temple will remain open the whole night on 31st December. Because of this, there will be no Shejarati at 10 pm and Kakad Aarti on the morning of 1 January. On this occasion, VIP darshan will remain closed for the convenience of common devotees. A gold window has been made outside for the darshan of Sai Baba. The administration claims that this time the darshan time will be less than before.
This time strict rules have been implemented for the darshan of Mata Vaishno Devi in Katra, Jammu and Kashmir. The documents of the devotees reaching Katra are being checked in the hotels themselves and travel cards will be given only after their correct identity is established. This card will also be for a limited time, because the journey will have to be started within ten hours of getting the card. Devotees will have to return within 24 hours. Around 70 thousand to one lakh devotees are likely to reach here on the occasion of New Year.
There is already a huge crowd in Ramnagari Ayodhya. Two lakh devotees are expected to arrive here on the occasion of New Year. All the big hotels and dharamshalas of the city are already full. Aarti and Darshan are booked till January 1st. In view of the cold, gas heaters have been installed on the routes for the devotees. There has been no change in the timings of darshan here.
