National Lok Adalat will be organized on 13 December

Raipur : As per the instructions of Chhattisgarh State Legal Services Authority Bilaspur and Chairman Vijay Kumar Hota, District Legal Services Authority Rajnandgaon, under the chairmanship of Chairman Mohani Kanwar Taluk Legal Services Committee Khairagarh, today on Friday, a meeting was organized in the Civil Court Khairagarh with the employees and representatives of Revenue, Department, Advocates, Cholamandalam, Shriram Finance, National Insurance, Bank, Municipality, BSNL, Electricity Department to make the National Lok Adalat successful.

It may be noted that the upcoming National Lok Adalat is going to be held on 13th December 2025. In relation to resolving as many cases as possible in the said National Lok Adalat, a meeting was organized today on Friday by Tehsil Legal Services Committee Chairman Mohani Kanwar with the employees and representatives of Revenue, Department, Advocates, Cholamandalam, Shriram Finance, National Insurance, Bank, Municipality, BSNL, Electricity Department in which CJM Nidhi Sharma, JMFC Akanksha were present. Khalkho, Ankit Singh Rajput Chhattisgarh State Rural Bank, Ujjwal Kumar, Deepak Kumar Sahu IDBI Bank, Om Prakash, Punjab National Bank and Suryakant Dewangan Bank of Maharashtra, Birendra Kumar SBI, J C Chandrakar Electricity Department, Komal Thakur, Piyush Chandra Yadu Municipality, C.R. Churendra BSNL, Ramkumar Jangade, Ravipratap Singh Shriram Finance, Chiranjay Janghel and paralegal volunteer Goludas Sahu were present.

Emphasis was laid on the employees and representatives of Municipality, BSNL and Electricity Department to make efforts to resolve as many cases as possible and it was told that they have presented pre-litigation and pending cases in the National Lok Adalat for resolution.

It is noteworthy here that in the upcoming National Lok Adalat, the matters like property related cases, money recovery related cases, cases related to banks and other financial institutions, compoundable criminal cases, motor accident claim cases, matrimonial and other cases pending in the Family Court, cases pending in the Special Court (Electricity Act), and other revenue related negotiable cases are resolved.

Benefits of Lok Adalat

Disposal of cases in Lok Adalat provides speedy justice. In Lok Adalat, both the parties win the settlement methods. Due to mutual compromise, cases are not appealed. Results of civil cases are available immediately. In claim cases, the award amount is immediately deposited by the insurance company in settlement cases. By submitting a resignation in Lok Adalat, one can avoid wasting money, time and unnecessary trouble in repeatedly coming to the courts. By entering into a compromise in the Lok Adalat, the parties in civil cases get their court fees back and no party is punished. The matter is resolved cleanly through talks. Everyone gets justice easily. The decision is final. There is no appeal against the decision.
