Suspense is at its peak on T20 World Cup 2026, Bangladesh is in danger of being out.

T20 World Cup 2026: Today is the most important day in the ongoing suspense regarding the organization of T20 World Cup. While on one hand Bangladesh is adamant on its insistence on playing in India, on the other hand the latest stand of Pakistan Cricket Board has dashed the hopes of Bangladesh. Today is the last day of ICC’s ultimatum received by Bangladesh. Now it remains to be seen whether Bangladesh will be out of the World Cup.

‘Support’ but not ‘boycott’?
Since this morning, contradictory news is coming regarding Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), which has further complicated this controversy. If media reports are to be believed, PCB has made it clear that it will not boycott the tournament. Their argument is that all the matches of Pakistan are already fixed in Sri Lanka, hence they have no solid basis to withdraw.

Along with this, PCB has also supported the security concerns of Bangladesh by sending an email to the ICC Board. That means Pakistan wants to be seen standing with Bangladesh diplomatically, but will not take the risk of throwing its team out of the World Cup.

‘Do or die’ situation for Bangladesh
Asif Nazrul, Sports Advisor to Bangladesh Government, has made it clear that he will not come to India under pressure. ICC’s independent security agency has described the threat in India as ‘Nil’, but Bangladesh is not ready to accept it. Bangladesh had tried to switch groups with Ireland so that they could play in Sri Lanka, but Ireland rejected the offer.
