Satna: Under the banner of State Teachers Association, thousands of teachers took to the streets of Satna on Sunday in protest against e-attendance. The protesting teachers raised slogans against the administration and warned the Madhya Pradesh government. The protesters have demanded the government to shut down the e-attendance app. Also said that if our demands are not met then teachers will march to Ambedkar Park in Bhopal in the coming days.
Teachers protest against e-attendance app
Madhya Pradesh government has released e-attendance app for teachers’ attendance in school. In which teachers were asked to keep location and internet facility in their mobile device. The teachers themselves will be held responsible for any kind of negligence. Thousands of teachers from Satna and Maihar took to the streets on Sunday in protest against this. Teachers from both the districts protested peacefully by sitting on the streets outside Civil Line Chowpatty in Satna.
Will march to Delhi if hearing is not held
On this State Vice President of State Teachers Association Shailendra Tripathi says, “Teachers are facing a lot of trouble due to the e-attendance started by the government. Due to which the educational work is also getting affected. To mark their attendance in this app, the teachers are busy in their mobile phones during the school hours, due to which the teachers and teachers have to face a lot of problems. This problem is most visible in the rural areas. In protest against this, on Sunday, all of us teachers and mother powers have peacefully protested against this private app. If the government does not fulfill our demands, If the hearing is not held then we will stage a protest in Ambedkar Park in Bhopal in the coming days.
Will play brick by brick to shut down the app
Teacher Abha Tiwari told that “This government has forcefully launched an e-attendance app. We all are opposing it. Because it is an impractical app. It has various problems. When the teacher goes to school, he remains busy with his mobile phone the whole day. Due to which the children are not able to study properly. Our next program is to stage a protest in Bhopal. If things don’t work out there too, we will go to Delhi also. To get this app closed, we will fight brick by brick. Will do the work.
