Leaving the book world, she took up modeling, and from here her life took such a U-turn that she became a star overnight. In the year 2002, Shefali appeared in a remix music video ‘Kaanta Laga’. This song was not just a video, in a very short time this song became the pride of every street, nook and pub. Shefali’s bold and confident style was so evident in this music video that she immediately got the title of ‘Kaanta Laga Girl’. This title became her identity, which she carried with her throughout her life.
