News – Trump will impose tariffs on imports from Canada, Mexico

Washington. After assuming office, America's newly elected President Donald Trump has announced to take strict steps to protect America's borders from illegal immigrants and drugs. Trump has directed to impose 25 percent and 10 percent tariffs on products coming from Mexico, Canada, and China. He informed on Truth Platform that he will sign executive orders imposing tariffs on these three countries. He said people crossing the borders have spread the problem of crime and drug smuggling. Trump said that China has also failed to stop the flow of drugs into America by ignoring his appeal. He had continuously warned the Chinese representatives, but China did not take any action. Apart from this, Trump has announced in an executive order that after January 20, 2025, an additional 10 percent duty will be imposed on products coming from China. There is a possibility that this step may increase tension in economic relations.
