Next Generation Camry To Launch On December 11
The current generation Camry is a brilliant car but it is getting quite old. An all new generation of the Camry was launched in the international markets quite a while back and Toyota will finally bring it to the Indian market. Toyota will be launching the new generation of the Camry on December 11, 2024.
We have earlier expressed our concern and asked Toyota to bring the new version of the Camry to the Indian market. The new generation Camry has an all new design, it will have all the modern tech features and if Toyota has a little bit of sensibility, we might also get a new engine.
One of the biggest changes is going to be the exterior and interior design. The new Camry will get all new exterior, with new LED headlights, LED taillights, new wheel designs, and new bumpers front and rear. The interior is also very modern now and gone is the ancient looking touch screen, and Toyota has replaced it with a large 12.3-inch infotainment touch screen display.
The new Camry might also get new features like ADAS, a hi-fi audio system and heated and ventilated seats. Toyota might also upgrade the engine and replace the ancient 2.5L NA petrol with the new 2.0L NA petrol which we have seen in the Toyota Innova Hycross. This will mean that the vehicle will have more power but Toyota is using both the configurations abroad, so they might continue with the old engine as well.
There is no news in terms of pricing but Toyota will definitely ask a premium for the Camry. Currently, there are no real rivals to the Camry since the luxury sedan segment has been slowly loosing steam in India. The Accord and the Skoda Octavia are already dead and the Superb is priced right around the German luxury car makers and isn’t doing any good either. The Camry has had its customer base though, the hybrid vehicle has managed to stay relevant and will be a popular sell for Toyota.
