Neymar announces fifth child on the way during 2026 World Cup

The 34-year-old Santos forward confirmed on Tuesday he is set to become a father for the fifth time, HELLO reported.

In a gender-reveal video posted on social media, Neymar jokingly reacted to the growing number of daughters in his family: “I’m going crazy. I want to start a new group, and from today, they will be called the Spice Girls. Maybe even a K-pop group.”

Neymar and Biancardi currently share two daughters: two-year-old Mavie and 11-month-old Mel.

In the heartwarming announcement video, the couple appeared alongside Mavie, Mel, and Neymar’s 14-year-old son, Davi Lucca, whom he shares with former partner Carol Dantas.

During the celebration, the family blindfolded themselves to play a paint game. The footage initially played in black and white, but as the blindfolds came off, the color was revealed to be pink, confirming they are expecting another baby girl.

“It’s a girl!” little Mavie excitedly said at the moment of the reveal, which was attended by close friends and relatives.

“Just so everyone knows, next December it will be a boy,” Neymar joked.

Biancardi also posted the video to her YouTube channel, where it rapidly garnered over 2.3 million views in less than 10 hours.

Notably absent from the video was Helena, Neymar’s daughter with model Amanda Kimberlly. Helena was born while Neymar was still in a relationship with Biancardi. The revelation led to their split in November 2023, when Mavie was just a month old, following the footballer’s public apology for his infidelity. Biancardi later forgave him, and the couple reconciled in mid-2024.

Neymar’s presence at the 2026 World Cup in North America has been a welcome sight for Brazilian fans, despite his ongoing fitness struggles.

The forward did not play in Brazil’s 1-1 draw against Morocco in their Group C opener, as he continues to recover from a calf injury sustained while playing for Santos in May. However, he remained highly active on the bench, cheering on his teammates and joining them on the pitch after the final whistle alongside his family.

According to recent reports, Neymar is unlikely to feature in Brazil’s upcoming group-stage match against Haiti on June 19, with the national team’s medical staff hoping he can fully recover in time for the knockout stages.
