Galitzine discussed his experience of sharing the screen with Lundgren in the new Masters of the Universe movie. During an interview with ScreenTime, Galitzine clarified that Lundgren didn’t give him any tips for the role. He then added, “I just sort of admired his aura and sculpture.” However, he noted that he was “very sad” as he didn’t get any tips or material from Lundgren that he could use.

Travis Knight, the movie’s director, told the same outlet about his appreciation over Lundgren being a part of the film. He stated, “I love the original Masters of the Universe movie. It was important to me if I could swing to get him into the movie. I’m so grateful that he agreed to do it. And I love seeing the two cinematic He-Man on-screen at the same time, sharing a moment. It gives me no small source of joy. They’re both so fun. And Dolph is such a great sport. And I think it’s just a delightful moment of cinema.”

This comes after Lundgren teased his character in an earlier interview, remarking that the role felt like “the elder warrior who’s helping the younger warrior, giving him some inspiration and advice.”

Notably, both movies are adaptations of the Masters of the Universe media franchise by Mattel. Besides Galitzine and Lundgren, the cast of the newer film includes Camila Mendes as Teela, Jared Leto as Keldor / Skeletor, Idris Elba as Duncan / Man-At-Arms, Charlotte Riley as Queen Marlena Glenn, and James Purefoy as King Randor.

Masters of the Universe will be released in US theaters on June 5, 2026.
