Nick Jonas got candid about the unusual song request he’s frequently asked to sing at weddings.
The 33-year-old singer-songwriter opened up during a Q&A at SiriusXM’s special early screening of Power Ballad in New York City on May 18, revealing the unexpected song he’s frequently asked to perform at weddings.
“You know, I’ve gone to a few weddings where, you know, I’m friends with the bride and groom or with the family, whatever it is, and in one case they came up, and the bride and groom asked, ‘Can you please play ‘Jealous’ ?'” Nick shared.
The sexy, high-energy pop track, which also has a remix featuring Tinashe and a gospel version, explores themes of possessiveness and protection in a relationship, opening with the line, “I don’t like the way he’s lookin’ at you.”
“I’m kind of reluctant because it’s not the best sentiment, the night you’re committing your whole lives to each other,” he explained. “But it’s fun.”
The hit song was released back in 2014, and has been a fan favourite since.
