Nick Jonas recalls first date with Priyanka Chopra
American singer Nick Jonas recently spoke about his first date with actor Priyanka Chopra and shared how their relationship began.
During an appearance on the Therapuss with Jake Shane podcast, Jonas remembered inviting Chopra to watch the live concert version of Beauty and the Beast at the Hollywood Bowl. He said the outing turned into a group gathering because both of them brought friends along.
According to Jonas, Chopra came with one of her close friends. He also invited his elder brother Kevin Jonas and another couple to join them.
Talking about the evening, Jonas said they enjoyed the show and later went out for drinks. He also mentioned that his brother Joe Jonas sent them a playful message during the date.
“We had the absolute best time at the show. We went for drinks somewhere and Joe knew I was really excited about this date, so he sent us shots of milk from wherever he was in the world, which was hilarious,” Jonas said.
He also shared that his brother tried to build excitement about the meeting, but Chopra reacted in a light-hearted way. Jonas recalled her saying, “Obviously, your brother is gassing you up.”
Speaking about the end of the evening, Jonas added, “We French kissed that night.”
In another recent appearance on the Jay Shetty Podcast, Chopra spoke about a personal letter she received from Jonas. The note surprised her during the interview and left her emotional.
In the letter, Jonas wrote, “I am constantly in awe of the person you are. It’s not the big titles, global icon, leader, force of nature. It’s how you show up as a mother, a daughter, a sister and my wife.”
He also praised her personal qualities and the way she supports people around her.
Jonas wrote that while many people see Chopra’s public image, her personality in private moments impressed him the most. He added that her patience and ability to listen made others feel comfortable around her.
Chopra and Jonas married in 2018. In January 2022, the couple welcomed their daughter, Malti Marie Chopra Jonas.
