Nicole Kidman starrer Baby Girl remains terrific at North American theaters, deets here

Several weeks after its premiere, Nicole Kidman starrer Baby Girl is still enthralling audiences; this past weekend, the A24 sensual thriller brought in $2 million at the North American box office. Even though the movie’s fourth three-day weekend saw a 34.1% decline in income over the previous one, its performance is still regarded as strong, particularly considering that on Friday, January 17, it lost 427 theaters and is currently showing in 1,460.

With a current domestic box office total of $26 million, Baby Girl is anticipated to reach a solid $30 million before going on VOD the following week.

Directed and produced by Halina Reijn, it explores the lives of a powerful CEO (Kidman) who puts everything on the line to have a passionate relationship with a much younger intern (Harris Dickinson).

Baby Girl has generated a lot of buzz since its August 2024 debut at the 81st Venice Film Festival, when Kidman took home the coveted Volpi Cup for Best Actress. The film followed with a successful screening at the 2024 Toronto International Film Festival in September, before its generic release.

According to the National Board of Reviews, it was ranked among the top ten movies of the year.
