Nifty 50 top gainers today, December 22: Shriram Finance, Trent, Wipro, Infosys, Bharti Airtel, Tech Mahindra and more

Indian equity benchmarks closed higher on December 22, with the Nifty ending above the 26,100 mark, supported by buying in select heavyweight stocks. The Sensex gained 638.12 points, or 0.77%, to close at 85,567.48, while the Nifty added 206 points, or 0.79%, to settle at 26,172.40. Here are the top gainers from the Nifty 50 index (as per Trendline).

Shriram Finance emerged as the top gainer on the Nifty 50, rising 3.7% to close at ₹934.9.
Trent advanced 3.6% to end at ₹4,206.8.
IT stocks saw gains, with Wipro and Infosys both closing up 3.1%.
Bharti Airtel added 2.4%, closing at ₹2,147.6.
Tech Mahindra ended 2.1% higher at ₹1,646.7.
Auto stocks such as Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles and Bajaj Auto gained 1.8% each.
HCL Technologies and Bharat Electronics also closed in the green, rising 1.7% and 1.6% respectively.
