Nifty 50 top losers today, December 12: Hindustan Unilever, Max Healthcare Institute, Sun Pharma, ITC, Asian Paints and more

Indian equity indices ended Thursday’s session on a steady positive note, with the Nifty closing 0.57% higher at 26,046.95 and the Sensex finishing 0.53% up at 85,267.66. However, despite the broader market strength, a select group of heavyweights within the Nifty 50 slipped into negative territory. Here are the top losers from the Nifty 50 index (as per Trendline).

  • Hindustan Unilever ended the session down 1.8%closing at ₹2,264.

  • Max Healthcare Institute slipped 0.7%closing at ₹1,080.

  • Sun Pharmaceutical Industries fell 0.7%settling at ₹1,794.2.

  • ITC declined 0.6%closing at ₹400.7.

  • Asian Paints finished 0.5% lower at ₹2,765.

  • Power Grid Corporation eased 0.5%closing at ₹263.6.

  • Bajaj Auto ended 0.4% lower at ₹9,015.5.

  • Eicher Motors dipped 0.4%closing at ₹7,230.

  • Coal India slipped 0.3%finishing at ₹383.

  • HCL Technologies closed marginally lower by 0.1% at ₹1,670.
