Nifty 50 top losers today, Feb 19: INDIGO, UltraTech Cement, Mahindra, Bharat Electronics, Bajaj Auto and more

Indian equity benchmarks ended sharply lower on February 19 (IST), with heavy selling pressure across frontline stocks dragging the indices down. The NIFTY 50 closed at 25,454.35, down 365.00 points or 1.41%, while the SENSEX settled at 82,498.14, declining 1,236.11 points or 1.48%. The BANKNIFTY ended at 60,739.55, down 811.25 points or 1.32%, and the MIDCPNIFTY closed at 13,442.50, falling 287.05 points or 2.09%.

Among the top losers in the Nifty 50 pack, InterGlobe Aviation ended at ₹4,817.1, down 3.3% at close. UltraTech Cement settled at ₹12,664.0, declining 3.0%. Mahindra & Mahindra closed at ₹3,427.0, down 2.9%, while Bharat Electronics ended at ₹435.0, falling 2.8%.

Trent closed at ₹4,069.9, registering a decline of 2.8%. Bajaj Auto ended at ₹9,721.5, down 2.6% for the session. Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone closed at ₹1,511.7, slipping 2.5%, and Grasim Industries settled at ₹2,861.4, also down 2.5%.

Shriram Finance ended the session at ₹1,050.7, down 2.4%, while Reliance Industries closed at ₹1,407.2, declining 2.4%.

The broad-based weakness across sectors contributed to the overall negative close for the market on February 19, with several heavyweight stocks finishing in the red.
