Nifty 50 top losers today, Feb 26: Trent, Eternal, Power Grid, Coal India, Tata Consumer Products and more

Indian benchmark indices ended on a flat note after a volatile trading session on February 26, with the Nifty hovering around the 25,500 mark at close.

The Sensex slipped 27.46 points or 0.03% to settle at 82,248.61, while the Nifty edged up 14.05 points or 0.06% to close at 25,496.55.

Despite the marginal move in headline indices, several Nifty 50 constituents ended in the red.

Trent closed at ₹3,856.0, down 1.7%, emerging as the top loser among index heavyweights.

Eternal declined 1.5% to settle at ₹246.5.

Power Grid Corporation ended 1.3% lower at ₹303.3.

Coal India slipped 1.2% to close at ₹433.5.

Tata Consumer Products fell 1.1% to ₹1,159.5.

HDFC Bank ended the session at ₹898.6, down 1.0%.

Asian Paints closed 0.9% lower at ₹2,394.9.

UltraTech Cement declined 0.8% to settle at ₹12,937.0.

Bajaj Finance also fell 0.8%, ending at ₹1,013.0.

NTPC closed at ₹381.9, down 0.8%.
