Nifty 50 top losers today, Feb 27: Adani Enterprises, Maruti Suzuki India, Bharti Airtel, Grasim Industries and more

Indian equity benchmarks ended sharply lower on February 27, 2026, with broad-based selling dragging frontline indices down. The Nifty 50 settled at 25,178.65, falling 317.90 points or 1.25%, while the Sensex declined 961.42 points or 1.17% to close at 81,287.19. Bank Nifty dropped 658.70 points or 1.08% to 60,529.00, and Midcap Nifty slipped 161.50 points or 1.18% to 13,491.45.

Among the top losers in the Nifty 50 pack, Adani Enterprises closed at ₹2,157.00, down 2.7%. Maruti Suzuki India ended at ₹14,832.00, declining 2.5%. Bharti Airtel settled at ₹1,882.00, also lower by 2.5%.

Grasim Industries finished at ₹2,794.00, down 2.4%, while Sun Pharmaceutical Industries closed at ₹1,742.90, falling 2.4%. Mahindra & Mahindra ended at ₹3,402.60, registering a 2.4% decline. HDFC Life Insurance closed at ₹716.80, down 2.4%.

Bajaj Finserv settled at ₹1,994.60, slipping 2.3%, and Shriram Finance ended at ₹1,079.50, lower by 2.3%. Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories closed at ₹1,290.00, down 2.2%.

The selling pressure across sectors weighed on index heavyweights, resulting in a weak close for the broader market.
