Nigdi To Chakan Metro | Metro has been launched as a solution to the increasing traffic congestion in Pune. Metro trains are currently running on 2 routes in Pune and metro works are underway in many other places. Now another new metro will run in Pune and its revised ‘detailed project report’ has come out. This is a metro corridor from Nigdi to Chakan and it will be of great benefit to the commuters of Pimpri-Chinchwad city and industrial belt. This decision is likely to give a big boost to industrial development along with making the transport system in the city more efficient.
As per the new proposal, it will pass through Vallabhnagar, Telco Road, Landewadi, Bhosari Gavthan on the Nigdi to Chakan Metro route and further extend directly to Chakan. This metro line will make communication between the city and industrial areas faster and easier. In particular, the connectivity between Bhosari MIDC and Chakan Industrial Area will be further strengthened. Nigdi To Chakan Metro
BJP MLA Mahesh Landge informed about this by tweeting. He said in the new DPR of Mhantal, Mahametro, the metro will now run up to Chakan via Vallabhnagar – Telco Road – Landewadi – Bhosarigaon. Therefore there will be direct connectivity to Bhosari, MIDC and Gavthan areas. Strong connectivity to Chakan industrial area, parking facility near every station and “last mile connectivity” will be emphasized. For this, the bridge in Bhosari needs to be demolished and a difficult but necessary decision will have to be taken for development. Due to this, 3.22 lakh passengers will use the metro by 2032 and 7.8 lakh passengers by 2062.
Prime Minister Hon. Mr. From the concept of Narendraji Modi and Chief Minister Hon. Mr. Mahesh Landge said that under the guidance of Devendraji Fadnavis, we have resolved to achieve the goal of public passenger transport facilities and sustainable development by developing the metro network in Pimpri-Chinchwad.
