sports desk : Nigeria has registered a big record in its name in world cricket. The Nigerian team has made this record in its name by all out the Ivory Coast team for 7 runs. This record was made during the ICC T20 World Cup Sub-regional Africa Qualifier group match. 7 batsmen of Ivory Coast team could not even open their account. Ivory Coast has also registered the record of lowest score in international cricket.

Nigeria, batting first, scored 271 runs for four wickets. In response to which the Ivory Coast team was out for just seven runs in 7.3 overs. This is the first time in T20 International that a team failed to reach double figures.

Earlier, the record of lowest score in T20 International was in the name of Mongolia and Isle of Man. Both the teams had scored equal 10 runs. Mongolia's team was out for 10 runs against Singapore two months ago, while Isle of Man's team was out for 10 runs against Spain last year.

For Nigeria, opener Salem Saleu retired out on 112 runs while Suleiman Runsewe (50) and Isaac Okpe (65 not out) played half-centuries. Chasing the target, the Ivory Coast team was all out in less than eight overs. Seven batsmen of the team returned to the pavilion without opening their account. Opener Oak Mohammad scored the maximum four runs.

Nigeria won this match by 264 runs which is the third biggest win in this format in terms of runs. Its record is in the name of Zimbabwe which defeated Gambia by 290 runs last month. Nepal had defeated Mongolia by 273 runs in the Hangzhou Asian Games last year.
