AI for Developed India: Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman organized a two-day ‘Thinking Camp’ in the historic Hampi of Karnataka. Presided over. The main objective of this important meeting was to make government processes more simple, transparent and according to future needs.

Digital tools and AI will increase efficiency

During the brainstorming camp, topics like ‘AI, ease of doing business and financing for a developed India’ A special session was organized on the topic. The Finance Minister discussed how Artificial Intelligence (AI) and modern technology-enabled systems can be used to strengthen policy making.

The government aims to make the flow of funds efficient through technology and to structure the tax administration in such a way that taxpayers face minimum hassles. These reforms will not only increase transparency but will also improve coordination between departments.

The pride of Vijayanagara and the challenges of modern development

Nirmala Sitharaman recalled the historical importance of the Vijayanagara region and said that it has been a shining example of the prosperity of the Indian Empire. However, he also drew attention to the contradictions of the present times.

He mentioned that while on one hand Hampi has magnificent monuments, on the other hand the nearby areas are facing problems like drought and low agricultural productivity. The Finance Minister gave a message to the officials that while making policies, it is very important to remain connected to the ground development realities and local challenges.

Technology in education, AI and robotics labs in schools

As part of this programme, the Finance Minister launched a project to develop five Artificial Intelligence, STEM and Robotics labs under CSR in government schools of Karnataka.

He ‘Vijaypatha’ Launched Cyient AI Labs, which will connect children of government schools in Hampi and Hospet area with future technologies. The objective of this initiative is not to limit the education of modern technology only to cities but to reach every section of the society and to democratize education.

Policy reforms and future roadmap

The Chief Economic Advisor of the Government of India along with the Chairman of CBDT and CBIC were also present in the meeting. The focus of the discussion was on how to make regulatory rules more predictable and accessible so that there is ease of doing business.

The Finance Minister directed the officials to establish better coordination between the departments so that the economic growth rate of the country remains constant. Transparency, efficiency and accountability have been considered the most important pillars in the future roadmap.
