NITI Aayog’s Nodal Officer Dr. Muthu Kumar Swamy visits Sonbhadra, gives instructions to promote education quality and women self-reliance

Joint Secretary, Animal Husbandry and Dairy Department, Government of India and Nodal Officer of NITI Aayog, Dr. Muthu Kumar Swamy B. conducted a detailed inspection of PM Shri Government Girls Intermediate College, Robertsganj on Thursday. During the inspection, he reviewed the educational facilities, smart classes, computer education and life skills training provided to the girl students point by point.

By communicating directly with the girl students, he obtained information about their educational level, awareness and future plans and inspired them to work hard and move forward. Dr. Swami directed the District School Inspector that for the all-round development of the girl students, they should be given an educational tour to the major historical, geographical and industrial places of the district, so that they can get information about local resources and power generation centers and increase their practical knowledge.

During the inspection, he inspected the soya milk and cheese production unit located at Kekrahi. Praising the production, packaging and marketing work being done by the women of the self-help group, he said that this initiative is an excellent example of women empowerment and self-reliance. Regarding the quality of Soya Paneer, the women of Sahasta Group themselves told that Soya Paneer (Tofu) is rich in protein, calcium and many minerals which strengthens the bones and helps in the development of muscles.

Improves weight loss and heart health, is a great option for those with milk allergy (lactose intolerance), helps reduce cancer risk and helps manage diabetes. Considering the quality of Soya Paneer, he directed the Chief Development Officer to expand the sale of the products by linking it with hotels, restaurants and local markets, so that the income of the group can increase.

During the inspection, he also observed the sewing work being done by women and suggested that they should be associated with work like uniform sewing in schools, so that employment opportunities increase.

On this occasion, Chief Development Officer Jagriti Awasthi, District School Inspector Jairam Singh, District Basic Education Officer Mukul Anand Pandey, Chief Veterinary Officer Ajay Kumar Mishra, Additional District Information Officer Vinay Kumar Singh and other officers and employees were present.
