Nitin Nabin appointed National Working President of BJP, Minister in Bihar Government

New Delhi, 14 December. Taking a big decision at the organizational level, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has appointed Bihar government minister Nitin Nabin as the national working president of the party. This appointment is being seen as a strategic strengthening of BJP in Bihar as well as national politics. The party leadership has entrusted him with this important responsibility considering his organizational experience, ground hold and administrative ability.

45-year-old Nitin Nabin has become the youngest president of BJP. This appointment has come into effect with immediate effect from December 14, 2025. A formal organizational order has been issued by the party in this regard. According to the order issued by BJP’s national general secretary and headquarters in-charge Arun Singh, this appointment has been made by the Parliamentary Board of the Bharatiya Janata Party. It has been clarified in the order that Nitin Nabin, who is currently a minister in the Bihar government, will now hold the important responsibility of the organization at the national level.

Nitin Nabin, Road Construction Minister in the Nitish government of Bihar, is currently the MLA from Bankipur assembly constituency of Patna. Nitin is the son of former MLA Naveen Kishore Prasad Sinha.

After the death of his father, Nitin Nabin actively entered electoral politics and soon made his own identity. Before coming into politics, he had also played an active role in Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha, from where his organizational skills were recognized.

Nitin Nabin has been elected from Bankipur assembly seat of Patna for five consecutive times. He won for the first time in the 2006 by-election. After this, he was continuously victorious in the assembly elections of 2010, 2015, 2020 and 2025. In the 2025 assembly elections, he secured 98,299 votes and defeated RJD candidate Rekha Kumari by a huge margin of 51,936 votes, which was his biggest victory till date.
