Nitish government’s big gift for employees and pensioners, good news will be received before Diwali.

There is good news for the government employees of Bihar. This time the government has issued orders for salary payment before Diwali and Chhath. The letter has been issued by the Finance Department on Monday (21 October). Bihar government has given gifts to employees and pensioners before the festival.

Salary will be paid on 25th October

As per the instructions of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Deputy Chief Minister cum State Finance Minister Samrat Chaudhary, the Bihar government has issued a special order for all the employees of the state keeping in mind the upcoming Diwali and Chhath festival. According to this order, the salary for October 2024 will be paid in advance on 25 October 2024.

Along with this, the salary payment (withheld monthly salary) of the government employees (non-gazetted and gazetted) who are retiring or about to retire this month will also be ensured till the last working day of the month of October. This decision has been taken under Rule 141 of Bihar Treasury Code, 2011.

All concerned departments and officers have been instructed to ensure compliance with this order so that employees can get the benefit of salaries on time. This step of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary is a reflection of their sensitivity towards the employees of the state and respect for the festivals so that all the employees can celebrate the festivals happily with their families.

About 10 lakh workers will benefit

Let us tell you that Diwali is on 31st October. Chhath will start with Nahay-Khay on 5th November. Kharna is to be performed on 6th, while evening Arghya is to be performed on 7th November and morning Arghya is to be performed on 8th. In such a situation, this is good news for government employees before Diwali-Chhath. It is being told that about 10 lakh employees will benefit from getting advance salary
