Nitish Kumar pulled hijab, now Doctor Nusrat rejected job in Bihar, girl is in trauma!
The woman doctor Nusrat Parveen, whose hijab was removed by Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on December 15, has now left Bihar and gone to Kolkata to join her family. She reached Kolkata the very next day of the incident. Nusrat, who was very intelligent in studies, had a dream of becoming a doctor and now had got a government job, but at the moment she is not going to join the job of Bihar government.
The family members are trying to convince her, but Nusrat is not able to muster the courage to return to Bihar. The family has now left it up to her to decide when she will return and whether she will join the job or not.
Nusrat is in shock, brother said – sister is in mental trauma
Senior journalist Shahnawaz Akhtar, very close to Nusrat’s family, told the media that Nusrat is completely broken after the incident. The family is trying to explain again and again, but they are not ready to accept it. As soon as the incident happened on December 15, Nusrat first called her brother and told him the whole story while crying. Brother immediately called her to Kolkata and the very next day she left Bihar.
Nusrat said, “I am not saying that the Chief Minister did it intentionally, but I felt very bad about what happened. There were so many people there, some were even laughing. It was like an insult for a girl.”
Hijab is my identity, I never took it off – Nusrat’s pain
Nusrat told that she has always worn hijab from school to college. Be it home, market or mall – she used to go everywhere in hijab. Her parents always taught her that hijab is a part of our culture.
She said, “What was my mistake? I have not understood till date. I am not saying that the Chief Minister did wrong, but whatever happened was not right. When I remember that day, I get scared. My mind has not calmed down till now.”
Friends from Patna are calling, but I don’t have courage left.
Her colleagues in Patna tried to explain a lot and kept calling her continuously, but Nusrat says that she is not feeling good there now. She had become a doctor with great difficulty, she had thought that if she got a government job, she would help her parents and take care of the household along with her brother.
Many people in the society used to taunt that “don’t teach the girl so much, keep her in hijab otherwise she will get out of hand”, but father and mother ignored everyone and taught her. Now Nusrat’s father is saying, “Son, do whatever you want.” Brother also says the same. The entire family is standing with him.
Nusrat’s brother said, “We are explaining that it is someone else’s fault, why should you suffer the punishment? Why should you leave your job because of someone else? She is currently in mental trauma.” Let us tell you that Nusrat had to join the job on 20th December.
