Nitish Kumar resigns from the post of CM, new political era begins

Patna. Nitish Kumar’s government, which lasted for almost two decades in Bihar, is about to end. According to sources, Nitish Kumar has decided to resign from the post of Chief Minister on March 30. He was elected to the Rajya Sabha on March 16 and now he will also resign from the membership of Bihar Legislative Council. It is noteworthy that the holidays of Bihar Legislative Assembly and Legislative Council are till 29th March. Similarly, BJP National President Nitin Naveen will also resign from the membership of the Assembly, as he has also been elected to the Rajya Sabha.

Nitish Kumar’s interest in Rajya Sabha

Nitish Kumar had expressed his desire to go to Rajya Sabha on social media on March 5, after which discussion on it started. His decision has created a stir in the political situation of Bihar. While the opposition has made serious allegations against the BJP, voices of dissatisfaction have also started being raised in Nitish’s party Janata Dal (United). Party leaders say that the people of Bihar have elected him as the Chief Minister and not for the Rajya Sabha.

Nitish Kumar will remain the president of JDU

After Nitish Kumar went to Rajya Sabha, there was speculation about the post of President of his party. However, recently it has become clear that Nitish Kumar had filed nomination for the post of National President of the party and there is no other candidate against him. This has ensured that Nitish Kumar will become the national president of the party unopposed. He will continue to lead the party in Bihar from Delhi.
