It has been decided, son Nishant Kumar is going to do this work during Nitish Kumar’s tenure, big decision taken in JDU meeting
A big and shocking development has come to light in the politics of Bihar. Nitish Kumar, who played a central role in the power of the state for almost two decades, has now decided to go to Rajya Sabha. After his decision, the turmoil in the politics of the state has intensified. Many party leaders and workers are surprised by this sudden decision, while resentment has also been seen at some places.
Meanwhile, an important meeting of Janata Dal (United) MLAs, Legislative Councilors and MPs was organized at the Chief Minister’s residence 1 Anne Marg in Patna. In this meeting, the upcoming strategy and leadership of the party was discussed.
A big hint came out in the meeting
During the meeting, senior JDU leader and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Jha shared an important information. He told that the Chief Minister’s son Nishant will formally join the party on Sunday i.e. March 8. Not only this, the possibility of making him the Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar has also been expressed.
Many MLAs and leaders present in the meeting demanded to bring Nishant Kumar into active politics. When support was sought on this proposal, most of the leaders raised their hands and supported it. This clearly indicated that preparations have begun within the party to hand over leadership to the new generation.
Confusion among workers due to sudden decision
Political analysts say that Nitish Kumar usually holds meetings with party leaders and takes them into confidence before taking major decisions. But this time the decision to go to Rajya Sabha came suddenly, due to which there was confusion within the party.
After this decision, many activists felt that perhaps this decision was taken under some political pressure. Some workers also called it a decision related to pressure from BJP. This was the reason why demonstrations were seen against JDU and BJP leaders in many districts including Patna.
During the meeting, the Chief Minister assured the leaders that even though he will be in Delhi, he will keep an eye on the politics and party activities of Bihar.
Discussion on change of leadership in the party intensifies
During the meeting, some leaders also suggested that if Nishant Kumar comes into politics, he should be given bigger responsibility in the party. Many MLAs openly supported him.
Although it is not yet clear whether he will be given the responsibility of the post of Chief Minister in future or not, but his possible appointment as Deputy CM is being considered a big step towards political succession.
Demand for reconsideration of the decision
After Nitish Kumar’s decision to go to Rajya Sabha, voices of dissatisfaction are also being heard within the party. Many activists have appealed to him to reconsider his decision. At some places, workers were seen protesting with placards and demanded the Chief Minister to remain in Bihar politics.
JDU spokesperson and Legislative Council member Neeraj Kumar, reacting to this entire incident, said that it is natural for the workers to be emotional. According to him, it is normal for the workers to be worried after hearing such a decision regarding a leader who has been leading the party and the government for a long time.
He also said that Nitish Kumar is not such a leader who takes decisions under any pressure. He also appealed to the party leadership to calm down the situation by understanding the feelings of the workers.
Beginning of a new era in Bihar politics?
Political experts believe that this decision may signal the beginning of a new phase in the politics of Bihar. If Nishant Kumar comes into active politics and gets big responsibility, then a new generation of leadership can emerge in JDU. At present, many more important developments can be seen in the politics of the state in the coming days.
