Big secret revealed after 60 years! Malaysian citizen was living as a voter in India; Azamgarh police arrested
Azamgarh Fake Citizenship Case: Azamgarh Police has exposed a big fraud. In Nizamabad police station area, the police has arrested a person who had acquired Malaysian citizenship through fake documents. The accused took foreign citizenship by changing his identity and father’s name but stayed in India and became a voter illegally and kept taking advantage of government schemes.
SP Vivek Kumar Tripathi said that Mohammad Quddus alias Quddus, a resident of Surai village, had fraudulently changed his name to Mohammad Quddus bin Razzag Shah. He moved to Malaysia in 1962 and remained active in India even after taking citizenship there.
Big revelation made in investigation
How cunning the accused is can be gauged from the fact that he obtained Malaysian citizenship in 2016 and got a passport made there. Also, investigation revealed that he had also cleverly obtained the Pravasi Bharatiya Card i.e. OIC. After obtaining this card, he got permission to travel to India. Despite being an OCI card holder, he had got his name registered in the voter list of Surai, which is illegal i.e. he was illegally availing various government benefits and facilities by wearing the mask of an Indian citizen.
attempt to mislead the administration
Even during the Special Intensive Review (SIR), the accused hid his real information and tried to mislead the administration by filling the form to become a voter. After the matter came to light, a case was registered against him in Nizamabad police station under several serious sections including forgery. During the investigation, the police called him to the police station to present evidence but he could not give a satisfactory answer. After this, when the allegations were found to be true, the police immediately took him into custody.

Strict action started on fake documents
After the arrest of the accused, the police is now investigating which local employees or middlemen had helped him in this entire fraud. The process of canceling OCI cards and voter ID cards made on the basis of forged documents has also been started.
