No action against sports terrorists due to FATF fear, Pakistan now resorts to lobbying

News India Live, Digital Desk: It is said that habits do not change so easily, and this saying holds true with our neighboring country Pakistan. What happened recently in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, once again showed the disgusting face of terrorism. It is expected that after such attacks, any country will correct its mistakes and take strict steps to crack down on terrorists. But, the story of Pakistan is a little different and old. Reliance on ‘Jugaad’, not action. There are reports that instead of ending the terrorism growing on its soil, Pakistan is taking more interest in correcting its ‘International Image’. After the Pahalgam attack, he has started fearing that the eyes of the world might turn on him again. Especially the fear of FATF’s ‘grey list’ is not letting him sleep. Now you will wonder what he is doing? So the answer is – ‘lobbying’. In simple words, instead of correcting its mistakes, Pakistan is spending money and time in convincing the big countries and organizations of the world that “Look, we are very good, we are fighting against terrorism.” It is exactly like having garbage lying in the house, and instead of cleaning it, it is hidden under the carpet so that everything can be seen clearly to the guests. Pakistan knows very well that if it again comes on the radar of FATF or gets stuck in the gray list, then it will prove to be the last nail for its sinking economy. That is why, instead of taking concrete action against organizations like Jaish and Lashkar, it is trying to create an atmosphere through lobbying firms and PR agencies that it has made a lot of improvements. How long will the reality remain hidden? But, the truth is that there is a lot of difference between lip service and actual action. India has always been telling the world with evidence where the roots of terrorism lie. This ‘lobbying’ method of Pakistan may give it relief for some time, but until the factories of terrorism are closed, neither will there be peace there nor will the world trust them. Overall, Pakistan has again done what was expected – instead of treating the disease, it tried to hide the disease. Now it remains to be seen how long the world will accept this ‘show’ as truth.
