No China, no Gulf… yet the global charm of ‘Dhurandhar 2’ remains intact –
Tezzbuzz Desk – Ranveer Singh’s film Dhurandhar 2 has emerged as a tsunami at the box office. In just 11 days of release, the film has created history by collecting a worldwide gross collection of Rs 1365 crore. The special thing is that this earning has been achieved without releasing in China and Gulf Countries (GCC).
Threat to ‘Dangal’ record
Looking at the pace of the film, trade experts believe that Dangal’s record of the highest-grossing Indian film is now in danger. China and Gulf countries had a major contribution in the total earnings of ‘Dangal’, whereas ‘Dhurandhar 2’ is performing record breaking without these big markets.
Great performance overseas
The film continues to be popular in foreign markets also.
- In North America, the film broke the record of ‘Baahubali 2’ by earning more than $23 million.
- Collection of 3.21 million pounds in UK
- $6.37 million in Australia
- New high in Germany with 905 thousand euros
It is clear from these figures that wherever the film has been released, it is challenging the top Indian films. Despite not being released in Gulf countries, ‘Dhurandhar 2’ has been included in the list of top films in overseas earnings. This is considered to be its biggest achievement.
Stormy earnings in India too
The film has also crossed the Rs 1000 crore mark at the domestic box office. This pace shows that the film can break many big records in the coming days.
The film’s strong story, action and direction are being considered the biggest reasons for its success. Its content is also connecting with the international audience, due to which it is getting tremendous footfall.
