No flight records, no black box, shocking revelations in Jharkhand plane crash investigation

The investigation into the air ambulance accident that took place in Chatra district of Jharkhand is ongoing, but the initial investigation has revealed an important fact that the black box was not present in the crashed plane. This information has been given by the officials, due to which the investigation into the cause of the accident may become more challenging.

All seven people died

A total of seven people were aboard the air ambulance going from Ranchi to Delhi on Monday night, which included a patient, doctor, paramedic, two attendants and two pilots. Unfortunately, all seven people lost their lives in this accident.

According to officials associated with the investigation, this aircraft did not have a cockpit voice recorder (CVR) or flight data recorder (FDR). Under civil aviation rules, it is not mandatory for aircraft weighing less than 5,700 kg to have these devices, but their absence makes it difficult to gather accurate information about the cause of the accident. Now the investigating agencies are trying to find out the cause of the accident on the basis of air traffic control records, examination of the debris and statements of eyewitnesses.

request for diversion

According to the information, bad weather and storm could be the possible reasons for this accident. Other airlines flying on the same route have also confirmed the bad weather. It is reported that the air ambulance had also requested to change the route due to bad weather. According to sources, other planes had requested to turn left. At the same time, this air ambulance had asked for permission to turn to the right. However, the actual cause of the accident will become clear only after a detailed investigation by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) and the Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB).

Investigation has also revealed that the crashed Beechcraft C90 King Air aircraft was not in operation from 2018 to 2022. This aircraft was being operated by Delhi-based Redbird Airways Private Limited. The fact is also being investigated as to what was the technical condition of the aircraft after not being in use for a long time.
