The funeral of the country’s senior security official Ali Larijani and Basij Forces chief Major General Gholamreza Soleimani was held in Iran’s capital Tehran on Wednesday. According to Iranian media, a large number of people were present during this period and an atmosphere of mourning was seen in the entire country.
According to reports, the ceremony also bid farewell to the sailors of the Iranian Navy ship IRIS Dena who were killed in the recent incidents. This funeral has taken place at a time when Iran is deeply shocked by the death of its top officials and military personnel.
Meanwhile, Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi gave a statement saying that the political structure of the country is very strong and the death of any one person will not have any major impact on the system. He said that Iran has strong political, economic and social institutions, which keep the country stable in every situation.
Araghchi also said that despite the recent incidents, the country’s system is fully functioning and there is no major crisis in Iran’s leadership system. Targeting America and Israel, he said that this conflict was not started by Iran and America is completely responsible for it.
He made clear that America must be held accountable for the human and economic impacts of this war.
In the current situation, amid tension and mourning in Iran, the government has expressed confidence in its strong political structure and said that the country is ready to face every challenge.
