‘No matter how many births Mohan Bhagwat takes, the dream of Hindu nation will not be fulfilled’, Swami Prasad Maurya’s sharp attack
Lucknow: The debate on the issue of ‘Hindu Rashtra’ has once again heated up in Indian politics. Countering the recent statement of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat, veteran leader Swami Prasad Maurya has given a big statement. He has bluntly said that India will always be governed by the Constitution, it will never become a Hindu nation.
Maurya’s strong attack on Bhagwat’s statement
Swami Prasad Maurya reacted sharply to Mohan Bhagwat’s vision of making India a Hindu nation. While talking to the news agency, he alleged that such rhetoric is creating confusion and division in the country. While advising the RSS chief, Maurya said that he should immediately stop making such statements as he is not going to gain anything from it. He said in a stern tone that no matter how many births Bhagwat takes, his dream will never turn into reality.
Accusation of trying to divide the country
Swami Prasad Maurya maintained silence on the recent statements of Congress leader Mani Shankar Aiyar, but took on those demanding a Hindu nation. He clarified that those who are advocating making India a Hindu nation, their intention is to break the unity of the country. According to Maurya, the beauty of India lies in its diversity and any attempt to divide it will not be accepted.
Big statement on Hijab wearing PM and President
Supporting an old statement of Asaduddin Owaisi, Swami Prasad Maurya also expressed his opinion regarding constitutional positions. He said that when Draupadi Murmu, who comes from a tribal community, can become the President of the country, then why can’t a woman wearing hijab become the Prime Minister of the country? He stressed that India is a democratic country and a person of any caste, religion or class has the right to contest elections and reach any constitutional post.
Gave a befitting reply to Devkinandan Thakur
Countering the statements of famous storyteller Devkinandan Thakur, Maurya gave global examples. He said that perhaps such people do not know that in a country like Britain, a citizen of Indian origin has become the Prime Minister. He made it clear that India’s governance system is completely based on Baba Saheb’s Constitution. By following the procedure laid down under the Constitution, any qualified person can occupy the top post of the country.
