The company said that through this, it has made available the most demanded capabilities of its global user community. The new feature will enable users to work in offline mode while traveling, commuting, attending classes or working on projects even in places with poor connectivity. The announcement was made at the Canva Create event

In a press note, Canva said that the goal of developing this novel feature is to ensure that Internet connectivity never becomes a barrier to creativity and productivity. It was first announced at the Canva Create event earlier this year and now the feature has finally been rolled out to users.

Editing will continue without internet connection

The company has said that users will be able to save their designs for offline access. Users will be able to continue editing on supported devices and formats even without any active internet connection. All changes made offline will be synced automatically as soon as internet is restored. These features are available to all Canva users at no additional cost. Canva has said that after enabling offline support, users will be able to create and edit designs without internet for 14 days. To use this feature, users will have to select the Make Available Offline option on their design before connecting to the internet.

Besides, the company has termed India as one of its fastest growing markets. The company has said that the offline mode has been designed keeping in mind the needs of mobile-first users. Commenting on the rollout, Canva’s Global Head of Product, Rob Kawalski said, “The offline mode is a symbol of our commitment to the way India works today. It’s mobile-first, always active and full of ideas. This rollout follows the recently launched Canva Connected app by Google Gemini. Designs created in Gemini can be edited directly in the Canva editor.
