Now you will not have to charge your phone throughout the day, Samsung is making a powerful battery of 18,000mAh
Samsung Battery: In today’s time, smartphones have become an important part of our lives. But a big problem is that most people are forced to charge their phones several times a day. If you are also troubled by frequent charging, then there is big news for you. South Korea’s giant tech company Samsung is now trying to find a permanent solution to this problem.
According to latest reports, the company’s battery manufacturing unit Samsung SDI is working rapidly on new generation silicon-carbon (Si-C) batteries. It is believed that these batteries will be more powerful and longer lasting than current smartphone batteries.
What is the new silicon-carbon battery technology?
Currently, most smartphones use lithium-ion batteries, in which graphite based anodes are used. But in the new technology, silicon-carbon is being used instead of graphite.
The biggest advantage of this technology is that more energy can be stored in less space. This means that the battery capacity can be increased many times without increasing the thickness of the phone. With this, users can get battery backup for a long time.
Testing three different capacity batteries
According to leaked reports, the company is currently experimenting with batteries of three different capacities, which can completely replace future smartphones.
12,000mAh battery
This battery has been prepared by combining two cells, whose capacity is said to be around 6,800mAh and 5,200mAh. It is claimed that once it is fully charged, the user can use the internet continuously for about 20 to 25 hours.
18,000mAh super battery
This battery is being made by combining three cells. Its thickness can be up to 12.8 mm and its strength is considered to be almost as much as a power bank. If this technology is successful, there can be a big change in the battery life of smartphones.
20,000mAh battery tested
According to reports, the company had also experimented with a 20,000mAh battery. However, it was not completely successful on the standards of durability and safety, hence this project has been stopped for now.

The company is very cautious about security
The company is very cautious about safety while developing battery technology. Actually, in the year 2016, the battery problem related to Samsung Galaxy Note 7 surprised the tech industry.
For this reason, instead of being hasty, the company is paying special attention to the safety and durability of the new batteries. The company aims to create a battery that retains its capacity even after being charged at least 1,500 times. Apart from this, work is also being done on special cooling system and software layer to protect the phone from overheating.
Smartphone experience may change in future
If silicon-carbon battery technology becomes successful, then in the coming time, smartphone users may get relief from the trouble of repeatedly charging the phone. This technology, along with long battery life, can completely change the mobile usage experience.
