Will WhatsApp work without an account? You will still be able to chat, Guest Chats feature is coming, you will be shocked to know
WhatsApp Guest Feature Testing Begins: WhatsApp users may soon see a big and interesting change. The company is working on a feature that can completely change the way we chat. According to reports, in the coming time users will be able to send messages even to those who do not have a WhatsApp account. In other words, having an app will no longer be necessary to chat.
What is Guest Chats feature?
According to a new report, the name of this feature is “Guest Chats” And it is currently being tested with a limited number of beta users. This testing is running on Android, iPhone and Web versions. If this feature is launched, users will be able to add people who do not use WhatsApp to the chat through a special link. In many cases, this will eliminate the need to download the app.
This is how the new feature will work
“Guest Chats” Under the feature, WhatsApp users will be able to create a secure invite link. This link can either be “Invite a friend” Can be created from the section or from below the contact list. Users can share this link through SMS, email or any other platform. As soon as the person receiving the link opens the link, he will see two options:
- download whatsapp
- Continue chat as guest
If they are “Guest” If you select the option, the chat will open directly through WhatsApp Web in the browser. In other words, it will be possible to interact even without installing the app.
Security will be provided by end-to-end encryption
WhatsApp has also given special emphasis on security in this feature. According to the company, messages sent in Guest Chats will be completely secure. When a guest joins a chat, a unique identifier is created, which acts as an encryption key. This means that messages are sent with “end-to-end encryption” They will be encrypted, ensuring that only people involved in the conversation can read them. Additionally, if users wish, they can also check the security of the chat using a QR code or security code.
Some limitations for guest users
However, this feature will also have some limitations. Guest users will not have a WhatsApp account; Therefore, they will not be able to be fully verified. If an invite link falls into the wrong hands, that person can also join the chat. To mitigate this problem, the WhatsApp chat interface includes a “Guest” The label will show, making it easy to identify.

Limited features and temporary chats
Guest Chats are specifically designed for temporary conversations. Only basic facilities for sending messages will be available in these. Features like group chats, photo and video sharing, stickers, GIFs, voice messages or calling will not be available. The most important thing is that if there is no activity in the chat for 10 days, it will automatically end, and a new link will have to be created to restart the conversation.
