Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated Phase 1 of the Noida International Airport on March 28, 2026, marking a transformative milestone in India’s aviation and infrastructure landscape.

When Will Commercial Flights Begin?
According to officials, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) granted the aerodrome licence on March 6, 2026. Based on current timelines:
- Domestic and cargo flights: Expected between April and May 2026
- International flights: Likely to begin from September 2026
Integrated Aviation System to Ease NCR Congestion
The Noida airport will operate alongside Delhi’s IGI Airport as part of an integrated aviation network. This dual-airport system is expected to:
