Noida International Airport: According to Shailendra Kumar Bhatia, ACEO of Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority, Noida International Airport is going to take the global identity of not only Uttar Pradesh but the entire country to new heights. He told that the design, technology and cultural glimpse of the airport will give a new and memorable experience to the passengers. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath himself is regularly monitoring its progress and recently he visited the site and reviewed the works.

Equipped with these facilities

The architecture of the airport is completely inspired by Indian traditional style. Beautiful lattice screens installed in the terminal will control natural light and ventilation, while the wide staircase at the entrance overlooking the ghats of Varanasi and Haridwar gives a sense of the cultural soul of North India. A large mansion-style courtyard is being built inside, so that the passengers can get an open and comfortable environment. The white wavy roof reflects the peace of the rivers of UP and also gives a feel of modernity.

Digital-first in terms of technology

In terms of technology, this airport will be completely digital-first. Passengers will be able to collect their own luggage from self-bag-drop machines and will be able to board faster from self-boarding gates. All gates will be equipped with DigiYatra facility, which will make entry and boarding of passengers even easier without showing documents. Smart signage and digital processes will make the entire journey stress-free.

There will also be special arrangements for shopping and dining for the passengers. UP’s traditional cuisine, global cuisine, local handicrafts, Banarasi silk, chikankari, attar and modern brands will give a unique cultural experience to the travelers. Duty-free stores will also be available.

EV charging stations are being installed

The airport is being developed as a green model. Use of solar and wind energy, rain water harvesting, modern waste management system and EV charging stations are being installed here. The design making maximum use of natural light and air will ensure energy savings. With all these efforts, Noida International Airport is on its way to becoming a great example of modernity, culture and environment protection.
