Samsung has its largest mobile plant here, which has a production capacity of up to 12 crore units annually. Other companies like Oppo, Vivo, and Dixon Technologies are also mass producing here. Gautam Buddha Nagar district has the maximum contribution in filling the treasury of Uttar Pradesh government with GST.

The dream of Make in India is coming true
According to the information, about 25 percent of the world’s phones are manufactured in Samsung’s plant located in Gautam Buddha Nagar. With the manufacturing of mobile phones, a large number of jobs have been created here. Being a major center of mobile manufacturing in Uttar Pradesh, this region remains a key part of the Make in India initiative.

Employment opportunities will increase
Vivo company is manufacturing mobiles in Sector-24A of Yamuna City. The company was allotted 169 acres of land in the year 2018. In this, a checklist was issued for 156.32 acres of land. In the first phase, the company is manufacturing six crore smart mobiles every year. The construction of the company will be completed in two phases. After the completion of the second phase, about 14.40 crore mobiles will be produced every year in the city. Currently 800 people are working here.

After completion of the second phase, more than one lakh people will get employment opportunities. Along with increasing the export graph, the mobile companies here have also achieved top rank in paying GST. The GST department had released the list of top 100 companies paying state GST, the name of Oppo Mobile Company of Greater Noida is at the top. In the year 2023-24, Oppo Mobile India had deposited GST of Rs 1945.87 crore. GST of Rs 1141.47 crore was deposited in the year 2024-25.
