Tirupati Balaji: A major decision has been taken by Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD), the trust of Tirupati Balaji temple. Now non-Hindu employees will be discharged from Tirupati Balaji Trust. TTD has passed a resolution allowing non-Hindus working on the board to either take voluntary retirement (VRS) or opt for transfer to other government departments in Andhra Pradesh.

The board accepted the proposal
Board Chairman BR Naidu on Tuesday said they have identified non-Hindu employees in TTD and they will be requested to take VRS or transfer them to other government departments. TTD Chairman said that I presented the proposal in the board on Monday. The board has accepted unanimously.

BJP welcomed the decision
BJP MP and Andhra Pradesh BJP President D Purandeshwari welcomed the TTD Board’s proposal to remove non-Hindu employees from the temple, calling it a very good decision. He said that people who lack respect for Hindu religion cannot discharge their responsibilities properly if they get roles in temples. Union Minister G Kishan Reddy welcomed the TTD decision and said the non-Hindu employees should be posted elsewhere in Andhra Pradesh.
