New Delhi: The promotional song ‘Sarke Chunar Teri Sarke’ of the Kannada film ‘KD: The Devil’ was trending on social media, but in a wrong way. Many people considered the lyrics and dance steps of this item song featuring Nora Fatehi and Sanjay Dutt to be obscene and vulgar. In the song, Nora is seen dancing while sliding her pallu, seeing which people got enraged. Many users termed it as having a bad impact on the youth.

Hindi version removed from YouTube

After increasing protests and criticism, the makers removed the Hindi version of the song from YouTube. This video was available till March 16, 2026, but now when searching, the message ‘Video is not available’ or private comes. Surprisingly, versions of the song in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam languages ​​can still be seen on YouTube. People say that this action seems half-baked.

NHRC issued notice

National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has also taken cognizance of this song. The Commission has sent a notice to the film team as obscene and objectionable lyrics have allegedly been used in the song. The social activist and lawyer had lodged a complaint with the cyber cell of Delhi Police. The complaint said that the song promotes sex and has a negative impact on the society.

Demand for action against these people in the complaint

The complainant demanded strict action against all the people associated with the song. It includes lyricist Rakib Alam, director Prem, composer Arjun Janya and singer Mangli. A complaint has also been made to the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). It is alleged that such songs expose minors to wrong content.

The song was trolled badly on the internet. People are saying that the lyrics are so bad that even Bhojpuri songs sound better than this. Singer Armaan Malik said that due to this the level of commercial songwriting has fallen. Former cricketer Harbhajan Singh also made fun. Nora Fatehi has removed the video of the song from her Instagram.

Till now the film makers, Sanjay Dutt or Nora Fatehi have not given any statement on this controversy. This song was part of the promotion of the film, but now due to controversy it had to be removed in Hindi.
