Nora Fatehi-Sanjay Dutt’s song ‘Sarke Chunar’ in controversy, complaint filed with CBFC and Delhi Police
Bollywood actress Nora Fatehi and actor Sanjay Dutt’s new song ‘Sarke Chunar, Teri Sarke’ has been embroiled in controversy due to its alleged obscenity. After the video of the song went viral on social media, it is being criticized and trolled a lot. The complainant lodged a case with Delhi Police after finding the song objectionable. The complaint states that the lyrics and visuals of the song are extremely obscene and objectionable, which are against public decency and social norms. Lawyer Vineet Jindal said that he has also sent a written complaint to the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) and the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, demanding a ban on the song and its removal from digital platforms.

Advocate Vineet Jindal said, “I have heard this song. Its lyrics are very objectionable and its content is extremely obscene. Since the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) is the appropriate authority to take cognizance of such matters, we have filed a complaint. Along with this, a complaint has also been sent to the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting regarding the song.” The complaint alleges that both the lyrics and visuals of the song are obscene and harmful, going against public decency and social norms. Trolling over the song has been intense on social media with many calling it “cheap and vulgar”.
Advocate Vineet Jindal said, “We have requested the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting to ban this song and remove all the content related to it from social media. This kind of content comes under the ambit of crime. Therefore, we have also requested the cyber cell of Delhi Police to register an FIR in this matter. Under this, we have filed a criminal complaint in the cyber cell.”

The special thing is that the criticism was not limited to the Hindi version only. Audiences have also raised similar concerns about the lyrics of the original Kannada version. Questions have been raised over the content of the songs in both the languages. In view of the increasing opposition, the makers of the song have removed the Hindi version from YouTube. After going viral on social media, there has been a flood of reactions. Many users have said in their reaction that the quality of song lyrics is continuously falling in Bollywood. In this controversy, lawyer Vineet Jindal has filed a complaint with the Cyber Cell of Delhi Police and the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting and has also demanded the CBFC to immediately ban the song. He has said that this song and the content related to it comes under the ambit of crime.
