Actor and performer Nora Fatehi has shared a reassuring health update after being involved in a car accident in Mumbai on Saturday afternoon. Taking to Instagram Stories, Nora said she suffered minor injuries, swelling and a mild concussion, but confirmed that she is safe and recovering.

Despite the accident, Nora went ahead with her scheduled stage appearance alongside DJ David Guetta later the same day. Reflecting on the incident, she described it as one of the most terrifying and traumatic moments of her life, while expressing gratitude for her safety.

‘I’m Alive and Well’: Nora Opens Up

In a series of short videos, Nora explained that her car was hit by a driver allegedly under the influence of alcohol. She said the impact caused her to be thrown across the car, during which she hit her head against the window.

“I’m okay. I was in a really serious car accident in the afternoon. The impact was severe and I bashed my head on the window,” she said, adding, “Except for some minor injuries, swelling and a slight concussion, I’m okay. I’m grateful to be alive.”

Nora admitted she is still shaken by the experience and described it as emotionally overwhelming. “It was a very scary, terrifying moment. I’m still slightly traumatized,” she shared.

Strong Message Against Drunk Driving

Reacting to the incident, Nora strongly condemned drinking and driving, urging people to be more responsible on the roads.

“I have never liked alcohol, drugs or anything that alters a person’s state of mind or alertness. You should not drink and drive. It’s 2025 — this shouldn’t even be a conversation,” she said.

She added that it was difficult to believe such an incident could happen in the middle of the afternoon, stressing that reckless behaviour puts innocent lives at risk.

Why She Still Performed

Nora also addressed her decision to perform just hours after the accident, saying her commitment to work and the milestone mattered deeply to her.

“I don’t let anything get in the way of my work and opportunities. I worked too hard to reach these moments,” she said, while reiterating her appeal: “Long story short — don’t drink and drive.”

Police Confirmation

According to Mumbai Police, Nora was taken to a nearby hospital for first aid, where her condition was confirmed to be stable. Officials said a case has been registered against the driver, who was taken into custody and charged under sections related to rash driving and driving under the influence.

Nora concluded her message by thanking fans and well-wishers for their concern and support, saying it meant a great deal to her during recovery.
