According to reports, a team of 10 lawyers has complained to the Union Home Ministry in this matter. They have demanded that Nora’s work permit be canceled and she be deported from India. Lawyers say that this song is against public morality.

After the controversy increased, the government has banned this song. The National Commission for Women (NCW) has also taken this issue seriously and a complaint has been sent to the concerned departments. Many laws including Foreigners Act 1946, Passport Act 1920 and IT Act 2000 have been mentioned in the petition. Lawyers allege that this song hurts the dignity of women and promotes obscenity.
At present no official statement has come from the Home Ministry. But this matter has now taken a big turn and a big decision can be taken on it in the coming days.
Nora clarified
Amidst the controversy, Nora Fatehi has given her clarification by sharing a video on social media. He said that he had shot this song in Kannada three years ago and he was not aware of the lyrics of its Hindi version.

This song was released on March 15 and initially went quite viral. But soon criticism started on social media regarding its lyrics and dance steps. According to reports, the song was removed from YouTube on March 17. The biggest controversy was regarding the dance steps and double meaning words of the song. Some people called it objectionable and obscene.
