North Korea Election 2026: Dictator Kim Jong Un’s ‘bumper’ victory! Created history by getting 99.93% votes, for the first time votes were cast even in ‘protest’

Pyongyang/New Delhi. North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un has once again shown the world the strength of his grip on power. Kim Jong Un’s ‘Workers’ Party of Korea’, along with its allies, has made a clean sweep in the parliamentary elections of 2026. According to reports by state media Yonhap and KCNA, Kim’s party has received 99.93 percent of the votes, with which it has captured all the seats in the parliament. However, something has come to light in the election results this time that has surprised experts all over the world. Voting held on March 15, only one candidate on each seat. This election was held on March 15 to elect members of the Supreme People’s Assembly (Parliament) for the 15th term. The electoral process of North Korea is completely different from other democratic countries of the world. Here only one candidate is in the fray in each constituency, which has already been approved by Kim Jong Un’s government. Voters do not have any other option, they only have to choose that only candidate in ‘Yes’ or ‘No’. 0.07% people showed the strength of ‘No’, accepted protest for the first time since 1957. The most shocking news of this election is that Kim Jong Un’s government has officially admitted for the first time that some people have voted against his candidates. According to the data, 0.07 percent voters ‘rejected’ the official candidates. This is the first time in North Korea’s history since 1957 that state media have publicly acknowledged the existence of “no” votes. Experts believe that this could be an attempt by the Kim government to show its ‘transparency’ to the world. Voting record: Due to being at sea, some could not cast their votes. Official records show that almost all of the registered voters exercised their franchise. According to the report, there were only 0.0037 percent voters who could not vote because they were abroad or on duty at sea. At the same time, the number of people who abstained from voting remained negligible (0.00003 percent). 687 representatives were elected, further strengthened by the constitutional amendment. Under the election laws of the country, a total of 687 representatives, including workers, farmers, intellectuals and military personnel, have been elected to the Supreme People’s Assembly. Let us tell you that Kim Jong Un, who assumed power after the death of his father Kim Jong Il in 2011, made major changes in the constitution in 2019. After these changes, Kim was officially declared head of state and his monopoly over the government, military and all state institutions was made “single” and unbreakable.
