Northern Warriors thump Delhi Bulls
ABU DHABI: Johnson Charles smashed 54 runs from 23 balls with the help of six sixes to lead Northern Warriors to a seven-wicket victory over Delhi Bulls in the fourth game of the Abu Dhabi T10 League 2024 here on Friday.
Chasing a target of 110, Northern Warriors successfully achieved the total with an over to spare with Charles remaining unbeaten on 54.
He came out to bat with his team in trouble after losing two quick wickets, however, he turned the game around with his explosive hitting.
Charles along with Sherfane Rutherford (20) knitted an unbeaten 79-run stand in 31 balls to steer their team to a dominant win.
Earlier, Delhi Bulls managed to post 109-6 in their allocated 10 overs, courtesy of quick cameos by England batters Tom Banton, Adam Lyth and James Vince.
