Not a time of prosperity, but a time of crisis… Akhilesh Yadav made a sharp attack on BJP in a press conference.
Shiv Shankar Savita- In the press conference held in Lucknow, Akhilesh Yadav fiercely targeted the Bharatiya Janata Party and said that the country and the state are going through “not a time of immortality, but a time of crisis”. The Samajwadi Party chief and former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh alleged that the present government is deviating from the basic spirit of the Constitution and is completely away from the issues of the people. Akhilesh Yadav said that the socialist ideology wants to give a new direction to the society by following the path of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar’s Constitution, while targeting BJP, he said that this government wants to run the country through “arbitrariness and autocracy”. He alleged that the government’s policies were weakening the foundation of the country.
Government is working like a businessman- Akhilesh Yadav
Attacking the BJP on the economic front, Akhilesh said the government was working “like a merchant” and was busy selling everything. Their aim is only to earn profits and not the welfare of the public. He said that by promoting corruption, the government is allowing some people to earn profits, due to which inflation is continuously increasing. Also expressing concern over unemployment, he said that the youth are not getting employment and the government is not able to give any clear answer on the investment figures. He also cornered the government regarding education and health system. Akhilesh Yadav said that the condition of primary education in the state is bad, the condition of intermediate schools has deteriorated and the education department is almost on the verge of collapse. He made serious allegations regarding health services, saying that “the government has put the health department on ventilators” and even the injections meant for animals were purchased for humans.
Government also cornered on law and order
He also put the government in the dock on the issue of law and order and said that the security system in the state has become weak. He claimed that the public now wants change and the Samajwadi Party is ready for it. Talking about political strategy, Akhilesh Yadav reiterated the PDA (Backward, Dalit, Minority) formula. He said that “By uniting the PDA, bringing together those who are feeling sad and humiliated, work will be done till the booth level and a socialist government will be formed by defeating the BJP.” He expressed confidence that his party will bring Uttar Pradesh back on the path of development.
The government did not learn anything by going to Japan- Akhilesh Yadav
Referring to the Japan tour, he taunted that the government did not learn anything from there and closed its eyes. In the end he said that Samajwadi Party does not believe in negative politics, but will go among the people with a positive agenda. He claimed that “only some time is left, after which the public will bid farewell to this government.”
