“Not Even Once!” Klopp Denies Real Madrid Links in Blunt Statement
Jürgen Klopp has dismissed recent speculation linking him with a move to Real Madrid, labeling the reports as “absolute nonsense.”
The former Liverpool FC manager made it clear that there has been no contact whatsoever from the Spanish giants. “Not even once Real Madrid called me. This is rubbish from the newspapers. It’s annoying,” Klopp said, shutting down the rumors decisively.
Klopp further emphasized that neither he nor his representatives have been approached by Madrid. “If Real had called me, you would have heard about it directly from me,” he added, underlining his frustration with the ongoing speculation.
The German tactician also addressed parallel rumors suggesting a potential move to Atlético Madrid, responding sarcastically: “Also… I saw they say I will also sign for Atletico Madrid? Sorry, Madrid. They have to call me first BEFORE I can say anything.”
The rumors gained traction amid uncertainty at Real Madrid, where Álvaro Arbeloa is currently serving as interim head coach following the sacking of Xabi Alonso around four to five months ago. With the club yet to appoint a permanent successor, several high-profile names, including Klopp, have been linked with the role.
