Not getting targeted at all on Instagram? Do not make these mistakes again and again in the hope of rich!
At present Facebook, Instagram, YouTube have become a big means of earning. Not only the young generation but people of all ages dream of earning by creating content. Some get success easily, some don’t get the desired followers, reach even after long efforts. But do you know the reason behind this is some misconception. Even in 2026, creators are still making mistakes when it comes to posting videos and photos on Instagram. Reach, followers will increase only if you can fix it. Let’s find out today, they are.
1. For years, content creators have believed that the maximum number of hashtags increases reach. That is, the video or image reaches the wall of more people. But did you know that Instagram suggestions don’t work like that anymore? According to the company itself, hashtags mainly help categorize content. Relevant keywords in captions, original content, play a bigger role in increasing reach than using additional hashtags in posts.
2. Many people think that you must post daily to be noticed. This idea is also not correct. According to Instagram, it’s more important to be consistent than to post infrequently. It is wiser to post high-quality content three or four times a week than to upload low-quality content daily. Poor quality content can reduce engagement.
3. It is seen that many people delete the post if they do not get the desired engagement within a few hours of posting. Instagram says not to do that. Creators should analyze why the content did not perform well and correct the mistakes during the next post. Repeatedly deleting and re-uploading posts does not guarantee good reach.
4. One of the most common misconceptions is that you need expensive camera equipment to be successful. Many of the most popular ‘reels’ on Instagram are made using smartphones with good lighting and clear audio. This platform gives more importance to entertaining, useful and original content rather than what kind of camera is used to make the video.
5. Whenever Reach drops, many creators immediately blame the ‘Shadowban’. However, Instagram restricts content that violates its Community Guidelines rules. Reach is often temporarily reduced due to changes in audience interest, intense competition or content quality. Before assuming an account has been restricted, creators should check Instagram’s account status section to see if it has been restricted for policy reasons.
